Featured in the Virtual Production Primer

Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center | NYU Tisch

I’m excited to share that my work has been featured in the Virtual Production Primer produced by the Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center (MSVPC) at NYU Tisch.

For those curious about Virtual Production — this 1-hour primer offers a comprehensive introduction to the creative, technical, and industrial landscape of VP today. It provides insight into what students experience in the 1-year Master of Professional Studies in Virtual Production program.

Written and hosted by MSVPC Professional Trainer Noah Kadner, co-written by Director of the Center, Arts Professor Sang Jin B., and produced by Jeff Lee of AbelCine, the primer reflects the collaborative energy behind NYU’s approach to immersive production workflows.

Why This Matters

Virtual Production is no longer experimental — it is rapidly becoming core infrastructure in film, television, and immersive media.

Being part of this educational resource is meaningful to me because it represents not just a showcase of work, but participation in a broader knowledge ecosystem shaping the future of cinematic storytelling.

My practice explores:

  • AI-integrated cinematic workflows

  • Real-time rendering environments

  • Unreal Engine worldbuilding

  • Experimental narrative structures

  • Cross-disciplinary production pipelines

To see this integrated into a primer designed for future filmmakers, technologists, and creative directors is truly an honor.

A Collective Effort

The primer was made possible through generous support from:

  • Epic Games | Unreal Engine

  • AbelCine

  • Simplemente

Educational content contributions from:

American Cinematographer Magazine, BOXX Technologies, Creamsource, Scheimpflug, KitBash3D, AV Stumpfl (Pixera), Plate Pros, Runway, Sim-Plates, XGRIDS, ROE Visual

And it features alumni and collaborators including:

James Watson, Charner Ramsey, Madelyn Zhang, QIN ZHANG, Hector Sanchez Torres, Michael Rocha, Lamar Mufti, Cindy (Xinyu) Li, Agnes Zhang, Seung Ki Chung, Dannie Zhào, Anna Filonenko, Cheryl Liu, Chris Smith, Elliana Bertrand, Nargiza Iskakova — alongside guest appearances from Rosanne Limoncelli, PhD, Ariana Taveras, Grant Ng, Devin Lyons, Zach Alexander, Marvi Sanchez, Britainne Pedersen, Olivia Farrar, and Martisse Hill.

It’s inspiring to see such a wide network of creatives contributing to a shared future of production.

Looking Ahead

Virtual Production is transforming how we imagine, design, and execute moving-image storytelling.

As someone working at the intersection of cinematic environments, AI, and immersive media, I see VP not simply as a toolset — but as a creative philosophy.

Grateful to be part of this evolving conversation.
